We could not have asked for a more beautiful day on Sunday! Our sweet baby Everson was baptized after noon mass at St. Mary's by Deacon George. Just after mass, our entire crew met up at the back of the church to change Everson from his cute suit and shoes, into the 100+ year old baptismal gown that Adam's entire family has been baptized in--I think someone said about 75 family members...I'm not sure...we'll have to figure that one out at Christmas time. Either way, it's REALLY old!
Deacon George started us out in the vestibule and welcomed Everson into the church with a song! We then headed to the front of the church to christen Ev with oil at the alter. From there, we were led in song back to the baptismal fount, where he was officially freed of his original sin and brought into the Catholic church! So special!!
We took pictures in the church with the families, and then had a great afternoon at the house with sandwiches (provided by Granmda Patty and Grandpa Doug--thank you!!) and cake and punch (I LOVED the punch that I made: one orange juice concentrate, one lemonade concentrate, 2 cups cranberry cocktail, 1 cup sugar, 1 liter Sprite---yum!!)
Everson slept most of the day! Surprise Surprise! But it's a great feeling knowing that he is blessed and loved...and has many angels watching over him!

Love the picture of Ev (right before the cake picturs.) It reminds me of a very old picture. What a precious gown to be Baptized in and the history. The Lord is always with you Everson!
I love the ones of Ev with the cake!
