Best Friends

This weekend was fabulous!! My best friend Lindsay came into town from Austin with her cutie doggy Molly. Jackson is in love!! And Lindsay is in love with another one of my sons--she met Everson for the first time!! :)

We spent the weekend relaxing--we sat on the back patio and drank wine all bundled under Snuggies!! 2 days in a row!! And maybe a Sonic Mocha Java Chiller...don't tell WW!

On Saturday night, we dropped Everson off with Memaw, put Jackson's bike in the car and had Adam drop us off at the lake to walk the path while he went to Kroger to get stuff to make dinner. We had the BEST walk while Jackson biked in front of us, and when we got home, Adam grilled us the BEST dinner!! YUM-O! I'm so lucky to have a man who loves to cook--and is good at it! Grilled Mahi Mahi, marinated shrimp, bacon wrapped scallions, sauted and grilled asparagus, and herb and butter rice. Hmmmmmm!!!! We ate dinner, drank some more wine (okay, one glass....not enough to effect the milk, I promise!) and then Adam's friends came over for night #2 on the patio. Let's just say, it's been a rough week for all the boys, and sitting and playing with Jackson and chit chatting about the past was great.

Greg came into town from Cali--and HE met Everson for the first time!! Suprise Suprise--Greg Dolgner is GREAT with kids! Seriously! I'm sure I'm blowing his 'badassness', but it's true. Who the hell would have thought! He held Everson, he wrestled with Jackson, played Tic Tac Toe....him and Brian Lewis (Jackson's best friend!) are great with my kids. Honestly, all of our friends are....

We are truly blessed that our closest friends LOVE our kids as much as we do.

Jackson played with Molly all weekend, and I'm sure wore out that poor little dog! Sunday morning, Miss Lindsay had to leave to go run her 10 mile (she's training for a 1/2 marathon that is next weekend! WOO HOO) and Adam and I had to go to the baptismal class. Although we didn't do much outside of the house, it was a great weekend--sitting and holding the baby and playing with Jackson! Fabulous!!
