More Sitting with the Boppy

He enjoys sitting up. He can see everything going on around him--and he's very observant, just like his brother!
ohhh...soccer ball!

Sitting up...assisted

I needed to vacuum the upstairs over the weekend, and Everson was NOT wanting to be put down (surprise, surprise). So, I changed his scenery. I put him in his crib, not laying down, but sitting up, with his boppy. And he was overjoyed! He has been sitting up with his boppy for a while now. He can sit, assisted, for about 10 minutes, with no fussing. He still enjoys his Bebe Pod, but the boppy forces him to balance--and he's getting stronger by the minute! It will be just a matter of days before he's all on his own!

When I turned the vacuum off in his room, he was cooing--as if he were talking to his toys! He loves his monkey that Aunt Tacey got him and brought to the hospital--it's blue and soft and just his size. And apparently he enjoys chatting with the monkey that Jackson got him, because he has quite the squeal-fest with that guy!

Hey Rocco the Monkey! What's up!?

Oh..hi Momma

Many Faces...

GG Jane came over on Friday so that I could lock myself in the office and work. I took a break to come down and see my boys...and this is what I found! My sweet sweet Everson, just hanging out!

Sorry for the poor quality of images...I busted out an OLD OLD lens, and then realized that it's gone soft...along with the color and focusing qualities having gone kaput. So, I had to OVER PhotoShop...

But I still think he's pretty cute!!

That's how I Roll--finally!

We finally have a roller in our house! Good-ness! I thought he would NEVER roll! Ev was just super content laying on his back, being catered to. Need someone to make me smile? They'll come to me. Need a toy? Jackson will bring it to me. Oh look! Another ceiling fan!

But today, with no assistance, he rolled. I'm sitting in my office getting some senior pictures processed, and Everson is laying, on his back, on his comforter right next to me. He brings his legs up, farts a few times, and then slowly makes his way over to his belly! When I got down on the floor to tell him "GOOD JOB!! YOU DID IT!!" he was all smiles! Sooo proud of himself!! :)

And as I'm typing this, he just took his bink out of his mouth, looked at it, and the placed it BACK in his mouth! WOO HOO!! Growing up right before my eyes!! :)

Back to the rolling. He can get from his back to his belly, now, with no problem. It's just the belly to the back that is a little tougher for him! But we'll work on it!!

He's talking up a storm right now too--he is constantly cooing and spitting and making all kinds of noises, telling me all kinds of stories--but, big brother is out on a bike ride with Daddy-O right now, so there is no one to interrupt him! HA:)

It's been a good day!

Cuddle Bug

Everson fell asleep in my arms while I was working on a wedding album (something that takes me forever these days) so I laid him on the floor in my office on his tummy. I never let him sleep on his tummy...never really. But I know that he sleeps much longer on my chest or when I hold him, so, I put him on his tummy, knowing that I would be right here watching his every breath! Jackson came in and saw him laying on the floor and wanted to cuddle with him. Apparently, he thought it was a pretty comfy spot to take a nap, because about 5 minutes later, he was asleep too! Ahhh....if only it were that easy! :)

The light from the computer...

casts a great glow on my boys, don't you think?

Jammy Day

Everson will have to become aware our our favorite kind of days--Jammy Days. We have them quite often at our house. When there is nothing going on...when Mommy has no energy...when the stress of the world is just too much...when it's raining outside....when Mommy's bed is just too comfy to move from...we have Jammy Day! Jackson and I have loved our jammy days for nearly 3 years now, and it's time for Everson to get on board and start lovin' them too!

Here are my boys, watching cartoons....but Ev, sooner than later you'll have to learn the WORD jammy to understand that this day does not entail hanging out in our underwear. We wear jammies. Underwear day is reserved for when you boys are all at home with Daddy-o, and I believe that day requires boxer briefs and undershirts, if I'm not mistaken! But, you'll learn....

Hanging Out...

While Jackson was at school last week, Everson just got to hang out in his diaper....without anyone bothering him...except Momma with her camera. Thanks Aunt Tacey for the Kick N Play piano--he loves it!!
